16 July 2008 – Lee Westwood Confirmed As Latest High Profile Customer

Now that the first 18 holes at Vita Park have opened, golf pro Lee Westwood is the latest high profile sport personality to purchase a villa at Flamingo Golf Resort.


27 June 2008 - Three VIPs Return from Successful Inspection Trip

Hatton & SpeakRay Hatton and Paul Speak (Ricky Hatton’s personal manager and agent) as well as England and Premier League footballer Andrew Johnson have just returned from an inspection trip. Speaking about the resort during the visit, Ray Hatton said, “The family will enjoy everything about the new property and the facilities on the resort. We are very excited.”

Andrew JohnsonAndrew Johnson visited the plot where his villa will be built and was so impressed with Flamingo Golf Resort that he confirmed the purchase of a second villa.



19 May 2008: World Champion Boxer Ricky ‘Hitman' Hatton Buys

Ricky Hatton will be getting a pre-fight training camp on Flamingo Golf Resort. Hatton and his advisors investigated three locations in Turkey to locate a pre-fight training camp and decided on the popular Flamingo Golf Resort. Hatton’s team is liaising closely with the development company to design and build a facility fit for a champion.


28 April 2008: Flamingo Golf Resort Exhibits at Channel 4 Show

Flamingo Golf Resort representatives including the developer, sales executives and finance and legal personnel were present at Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun Live’ at Excel London for the weekend of 25-27 April. A lot of enquiries were received and inspection trips booked. The signed football jerseys from Premiership footballers Tim Cahill and Andy Johnson who each recently bought property on the resort were much appreciated.


19 March 2008: Merill Lynch Involved in Land Deal

Merrill Lynch, one of the world's leading financial management and advisory companies, is reported to have acted as broker in a land deal in the Tuzla area on the same side of the road as Flamingo Golf Resort. This is a further indication of how the Tuzla area is becoming increasingly recognised as the property hotspot in Southern Turkey.

15 February 2008: Developer Invited to Submit Application for International Property Award

As part of the International Property Awards 2008 in association with CNBC, the developer has been invited to submit an application for an international property award. This is a tremendous honour for the developer and a terrific endorsement for the resort.


20 January 2008: Agent 'strikes' Deal with Premiership Footballer

England and Everton footballer Andy Johnson has purchased a four bedroom villa at Flamingo Golf Resort. Andy Johnson and his family are known to holiday in the area so with the villa having a private garden, gated entrance and private swimming pool it is the ideal location for him to choose as a sunshine getaway.


2 December 2007 - Sunday Tribune identifies that golf tourism is shifting towards Turkey

Since hosting the Ryder Cup, Ireland's leading golf clubs expected an increase in visiting golfers from home and abroad. Denis Kane of Druids Glen golf club, located outside Dublin commented on the international competition: "As well as competing for business with traditional locations such as Spain and Portugal, we have to compete with courses in new destinations such as Turkey". This illustrates how top resorts such as Vita Park Golf Resort are are appealing to an international audience.

4 October 2007 - Investment by Morgan Stanley

Global financial services firm Morgan Stanley was recently involved in the $90m purchase of 9.5 million square metres of land just 2km from Flamingo Golf Resort. This significant investment is further indication of the growing confidence in the Tuzla area.
 

19 September 2007 - Green Fees Available

Milas Club HouseA representative from the development company visited Vita Park Golf Resort for an update on progress. This photograph shows the entrance club house on Milas golf course under construction. During the visit confirmation was also received that green fees will be available for the first 18 holes which means people will be able to play the course without having to purchase membership.

12 June 2007 - Site visit

On 12th June the developer along with RE/MAX associates and interested clients had a site visit to Vita Park Golf Resort. The tour was facilitated by the main landscape architect. The selection of photographs were taken on the Milas golf course (the first 18 holes) which are due to open in Autumn 2007. The photographs show construction of the club house for the Milas golf course from the 9th green. Other photographs  -made lakes, and view of Flamingo Golf Resort under construction in the background.



14 June 2007 - Article in Irish Times

This article by Peter Murtagh of the Irish Times highlights that the Irish now view the affluent Bodrum peninsula as an ideal investment location. Interestingly he also noted that "some Irish have bought investment land near the airport", which is where Flamingo Golf Resort is located.

28 May 2007 - Dates announced for two exhibitions


These exhibitions offer an opportunity to meet the developer and selling agent and to discuss investment opportunities in Flamingo Golf Resort.

20 April 2007 - Exclusive membership offer at Vita Park

RE/MAX is delighted to announce that clients purchasing a Flamingo Golf Resort property will currently be entitled to preferential membership rates at the prestigious Vita Park Golf Resort.

16 April 2007 - Site visit

Several RE/MAX associates visited the site on a familiarisation tour. Potential clients were also given guided tours of the resort by RE/MAX associates. The photographs below are from this site visit. During the visit the developer signed a contract with a management company, which will provide clients with the option of using a local, professional property management company.



13 March 2007 - Site visit

In March, Gerard Graham (Sales Associate, RE/MAX) along with the developer, visited the site to check on progress to date and to show a number of potential clients around the site and the local area. The photographs below were taken during the visit and show some of the construction techniques being used as well as some interior and exterior photos of completed properties.



March 2007 - Advertisement in Irish News

On the same day as this ad was placed, the front page cover story highlighted the spiralling cost of property in Northern Ireland. Strong interest was received in response to this advertisement from all over the province. Click here for a copy of the advertisement.

March 2007 - Advertisement in Sunday Life newspaper

This advertisement placed in the Sunday Life newspaper was the first mass publicity for the Flamingo Golf Resort. A very favourable response was received and a number of site visits are planned as a result. A copy of the advert can be viewed here.

5 February 2007 - Belfast Telegraph columnist invests in Bodrum

Writing in the Belfast Telegraph, Justin Modray of Bestinvest Brokers provides some tips on investing overseas and explains why he chose Bodrum for his own personal investment: "My rationale was that property prices there are still reasonable, economic growth looks promising and it's a nice place to take a holiday." 10 January 2007 - Article in The Independent

This article in The Independent profiles Turkey as a property investment location and details some of the changes that have been introduced in recent years making it practical for foreigners to invest there.
